Thoughs on a rainy Thrusday….

From the cobweb infested dungeon of my mind…..

  1. Can an American leader take responsibility during their term in office. We concede you didn’t create al Qaeda, and that you can only steer the economic boat so far along the river of propserity. Regardless, it would be refreshing to hear someone say “I don’t care how we got to this point…I’m here to fix it!”
  2. Instead of patrolling the border, why don’t these “Minute Men” go to the employers and convince them to stop hiring illegal…excuse me…undocumented aliens? During the turn of the century when European immigrants were coming to America, Mexicans stayed put because they knew there were no jobs. It seems simple, no jobs then no undocumented aliens. Enough with the gun toting, flag humping, holier-than-thou, redneck, racist (yep…I said it – blow me) crap.
  3. The life of Johnny Cash is way too cool to be a PG-13 movie.
  4. Come on, America, admit it, Norah Jones’ music is boring…
  5. …”DESPERATE Housewives” is NOT that sexy of a TV show…
  6. …and Katie Couric is too old to still be called “perky.”
  7. Basically, being Pro-Bush at this point is just about being afraid to admit you were wrong.
  8. Larry Flynt is a real champion of the 1st Amendment, Hugh Hefner is just a government suck up and hypocrite.
  9. I never wanted an X-Box 360 anyway.
  10. Martin Luther King Day is NOT JUST FOR BLACK PEOPLE!
  11. Americans are more anti-Palestinians than Israelis. Why the hell is that?
  12. I will NOT apologize for loving the Mind of Mencia! Carlos Mencia for President – BITCH!
  13. Why aren’t porn stars allowed to visit the troops? I think they would be more happy to see, say, Jenna Jameson than Clay Aiken (Ain’t that right troops? I know – don’t ask, don’t tell).
  14. The world is not really upset about the Pope’s “Muhammad” comment, you’re just being told it is:

  15. Finally, in this age of division and strife, now more than ever, it’s time for white and black, liberal and conservative, Muslim, Jew, Christian, Jew and, well everyone to come together and give me money. Then everyone could hate me (and I’d be too wealthy to care)…lol.

Poor Bill Clinton (sniff)

Former president Bill Clinton appeared on “Fox News Sunday” September 24 in a pre-recorded segment. In it, he becomes quite defensive with host Chris Wallace, makes some seemingly negative suggestions about Fox News, and, in what has been deemed an “un-Clintonlike fashion,” loses his cool.

Something interesting is transpiring in the media concerning this interview. It appears that the press have already mobilized to discredit it, much like what occurred with ABCs “The Path to 9/11″ (where the show was discredited BEFORE it even aired). After all, President Clinton has already gone on since then to discuss how he was “sandbagged.” With headlines like “Fox Tries to Smear Bill Clinton,” “Clinton Takes on Fox News,” and “Clinton Smacks Down Chris Wallace – HARD” you have to wonder if this isn’t some type of pre-disposed hype to rally the fragmented Democrats who are not doing well in the mid terms, behind the most popular face of the modern Democratic National Party (DNP).

Firstly, the current spin is that Clinton was broadsided with this. Bill Clinton sat down in the “lion’s den” of Fox News – a media service well known to be a conservative news service (many times called the “Republican” or “Bush” News Service). How could he not expect questioning like this to have occurred?!? It would be like Dick Chaney doing an interview on Real Time With Bill Maher and saying he was “sandbagged” by the questions on that show.

This was not the first time in an interview that Clinton came unglued. They have been few and far between, but on occasion when a reporter has asked a tough question or two of the former president, he almost always comes (red faced and defensive) unglued. If one could picture him having to face a hostile press corps, day in and day out like Bush has had to do about something that is unpopular with the American people, we would see him crumble.

Oh wait! I do remember him crying and apologizing to the American People for lying about a blowjob a few years back!

My bad….

Hypocritically, when the current president (or any Republican) are “sandbagged” by a member of the press with cameras rolling, why is it that nobody seems offended then? Just good reporting…right?!?

It’s interesting that the same people that complained the press was too easy on the administration leading up to the Iraq war (nobody asked tough questions, correct?) are now talking about how Bill Clinton stood tall against that mean old news reporter.

Why is it only acceptable to ask tough questions of Republicans, but not Democrats?

It appears to me that this was a DNP slight of hand to rally the fractured liberals of America behind one man….Hero-in-Chief Bill Clinton.

They talk about Bush/Republican duplicity….

When is the duplicity going to end for everyone?

MONDAY – FLY THE US FLAG!

Please join us in this FLY THE FLAG campaign and PLEASE forward this to everyone in your address book asking them to also forward it on also.

We have a little less than one week and counting to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America. If you forward this email to least 11 people and each of those people do the same…you get the idea.

THE PROGRAM IS THIS:

On Monday, September 11th, 2006, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States . Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this fifth anniversary of our country’s worst tragedy. We do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn’t take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds.

Action Plan: So, here’s what we need you to do…

  1. Forward this email to everyone you know (at least 11 people).
  2. Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don’t, then at least make it a priority on this day.

Thank you for your participation. God Bless You and God Bless America!
