How to use RBL’s to protect apache from compromised and infected systems

RBLs, “Realtime Blackhole lists”, or just plain “blacklists” are used by mail servers to protect against spam. In recent years these Realtime Blackhole Lists have expanded to include not just open relays and know sources of spam, but also lists of systems that have been broken into, are infected with viruses, worms and are running open proxies.

What is WRONG with the Democratic Party?!?!?

COOL! Now I can call the Democratic party, the “copycat” party. How can the Democrats not be able to tell a win from a loss in this
latest congressional race?

The story below says the Democrats are also claiming a victory in Ohio
(Why is it always Ohio? Ohio is sooooo bizarre: like the fact that Italian
Wedding Soup is served in EVERY restaurant in the state. I hate Ohio!) even though their candidate only
received 47% of the
vote. And why did they claim a victory? Because their candidate managed to get
47% of the vote, up from 29% over the last joker they tried to run in that
district?!?!?

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/E/ELECTION_RDP?SITE=APWEB&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

In reading the above article they disregard their complaints about Bush using the War to get elected and hype their own candidate as an
“Iraqi war veteran” (BTW…he only served seven months). Not only that, but the
man is a rabid Bush-hater vieing for a seat in the state that CEMENTED his victory in 2004!

With the Democrats saying that everything the President does is wrong, don’t they realize they are creating a huge rift within this country (which wouldn’t do anything to cheer the terrorists on at all, would it)? All those and more are things that have been done and are being done by the Democrats. When are they going to choose issues that might have real substance and use that to win elections?

This race is a glimpse of what’s to come in 2006. We’re going to see more and more attacks on our President as the Democrats attempt to sling mud in the general direction of the people whom they are running against. We’re going to see the dividing wedges driven even deeper into our communities as they attempt to portray how “evil” Republicans are.

This Ohio race is somehow counted as a victory because they played the dirty, smear politics and came close to a win. Of course they also fail to account that most of their runners will NOT be associated with the Iraq war and will be running against incumbents. The more of this junk Democrats try, the more support, and elections, they’re going to lose.

Put “ICE” on your cell phone

Common emergency contact name saves lives

What is ICE?
“ICE” is an acronym that stands for “In Case of Emergency.” A paramedic in Britain came up with the idea of listing emergency contact information under this common name in wireless phones, so that an emergency respondent would know immediately who they should contact. Already this simple, free initiative has saved lives. Emergency respondents were able to use the ICE numbers stored in wireless phones to properly treat the victims of the London bombings. This
initiative is now spreading across the country, and is proving invaluable to emergency respondents.

Why list ICE on your phone?
From a simple accident to a natural disaster or terrorist action, “ICE” gives our men and women in emergency services, the information to call an emergency contact and let them know something has happened. The emergency contact could also provide invaluable information about conditions or allergies.

How do you put ICE on your phone?
In your wireless phone address book type ICE the name of your emergency contact. If you place a space before the word “ICE,” that number will be listed first in your address book. Then you simply fill in the contact information, and when an emergency worker finds your wireless phone, he or she will look for ICE, press send and reach your emergency contact.

One minute could save your life With 192 million cell phone users in the United States and tens of thousands of users in Alaska, we have the chance to make a difference and get people connected. Take a minute to put “ICE” on your phone and encourage your friends and family to do the same.
