Now…onto tthe open letter:
This goes out to all bikers, it doesn’t matter what you ride. Safety should be your first priority. There is a big difference between what the bike can do and what you can do. It’s bad enough that we have little to rotect us from the elements. It’s bad enough that the roads are tore up, making it difficult (and dangerous) to ride on. It’s bad enough that we are hard to see. With all these things that we bikers have to watch out for, why take chances?
How stupid can you be, to travel over 90mph on a city street, or anywhere else for that matter? Isn’t your life worth more than that one stupid moment of
recklessness? So what, your bike can pop a wheelie at 80mph, or make a 90 degree turn at high speed, that doesn’t mean you can control it. What good is it if you’re dead? Who can you brag to then? What about the family you killed, putting that bike through the car. Every year we lose bikers. It’s sad enough to lose
one in a legitimate accident, it’s even worse when we lose a brother or sister because they were just being stupid. If you truly love to ride, then be careful, make it home, and ride again tomorrow.
