Booble?!?!?

Sure, Booble doesn’t have a large index, but a search for an adult star’s name may give results of sites that sell a paid subscription service to their content. An unnamed New York-based former internet executive has pumped his own money into the new website that has styled itself as a light-hearted parody of the world’s largest and best-known search engine, Google.com.

“What was a bit fun and a joke became a business. People like it. It makes people smile. It’s funny and I think it’ll grow,” the man in his mid-40s said.

The adult sites to which Booble users will be directed have been filtered to exclude illegal or extremely hard-core material, using criteria including whether a site is worth the price it charges viewers and the quality of its images. I’m sure each site indexed in Booble’s search database is linked to the site’s affiliate program. If Google doesn’t sue the living hell out of these guys, they may even get to sell some ad space on the site. Will they keep the theme going and do a porno version of AdWords?

Trying to ride now that it SORT of warmer!

What a weird spring so far!

We had beautiful weather on Easter (high 40s / mid 50s) followed by SNOW,
FREEZING RAIN and EXTREME COLD!

It’s been mild again and now there was snow this morning as I rode my bike to
work <sigh>.

Made me start to consider heated gear!

I have to remember that now we are looking at warmer weather in store.

It’s coming….

<concentrating>

It’s coming….

<concentrating>

I know it!

I guess I can consider the fact that I did get to add on some cool stuff (accessories) to the bike while the weather’s bad:

For those of you who (like me) wolf down lunch at your desk…

The article is ‘Desktop-Diner Menu: The Good, The Bad and the Getting Ugly’
by Jared Sandberg.

"Consider that the desktop surrounding you has 400 times as much bacteria per skuzzy square inch as the toilet seat; the keyboard and mouse have 67 times and 34 times as much bacteria, respectively…. The difference, he says, is that someone cleans the toilet…. We’ve turned our desks into bacteria cafeterias."

Isn’t that just NASTY? Something to think about next time you’re eating lunch in your office!

Where are those disinfectant wipes!?!?!

Here’s the complete article:

A virus actually helped me out!

I never though I’d say this but…

Thanks beagle virus!

Seems that an old High School buddy of mine was trying to reach me. He had e-mailed me a while back and I don’t recall seeing the e-mail (probably caught in my SPAM filters). Anyways…he sends me a mail yesterday about how I sent out a virus to him.

Well, to make a long story short, we’ve now been chatting back and forth and catching up (actually he’s catching me up, I’m probably
boring the daylights out of him).

It’s the coolest thing to happen this year since putting a power commander on the harley.

I’m going to take this as a positive sign for things to come.

Is it REALLY worth it to be ‘cool’?

Recently British iPod owners being targeted by muggers who then demand their
iPods:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/5/36649.html

For instance, there’s this recent story of an iPod mugging in the British
West Midlands, as well as a story from a month ago:

Apparently it’s the white color of the headphones that are making the owners
prominent targets. About which an Apple representative reportedly said, "There
are guys who’d rather be robbed than change the color of the headphones."

I don’t know if I would risk being robbed to keep my “groovy” white headphones, but then again I was never a ‘Mac’ guy anyways….
