The article quotes a Verisign VP – "The sanctity of the
vote can’t be compromised nor can the integrity of the system be
compromised–it’s security at all levels."
Is it just me or does that quote from an "Internet Company" make
you nervous too?
Former French stripper and presidential candidate Cindy Leeof "the party of pleasure" lost her bid to become France’s next president.
If elected, Lee would of sought to legalize houses of ill repute and declare a national "Love" Day.
Was no different than Mary Carey
going for the gubernatorial race in California. After all….at least you know
that with these candidates you’d be fucked!!!! (more…)
On the evening of Thursday, December 25, 2003, a good man made the ultimate sacrifice in service to his community when he lost his life protecting the citizens he served. John Watson is survived by his wife and children.
Just came across this little gem today following a link from
http://www.hootercruisers.com/. While I did not really look over the
site as a whole, it’s looks pretty good! Lots of content and links abound! (more…)
Peter Jackson, all I can say is "my hat’s off to you sir!" The third
and final part of this sweeping epic is by far the best one of the three (which
is saying A LOT for a trilogy).
Of course, Mr. Jackson had lots of good material….
I, of course, do not want to give anything away so I’ll say this…the battle
scenes in this movie make the battle for Helms Deep in the second movie look
like two ladies having a slap fight in a parking lot.
This is also the longest of the movies (more than 3 1/2 hours), but you’re so
swept up in it you don’t even notice.
Let’s hope the rumors are true and he’s going to work on ‘The Hobbit‘. (more…)
This article kicks ass. If you laugh at the Geico commercial where the squirels high-five over the accident they just caused, you’ll howl with horrified amusement as you read about this biker who jumps off a crowded freeway for a peaceful commute home, and ends up fighting for his life with…
As you’ve no doubt noticed, I’ve installed a new module. It’s called MultiImage and it’s pretty cool! You can get it from the author at his website www.curttimmerman.net/pn (it’s in the downloads section). He’s a good friend of mine so check out his site.
For those who can cook…he’s got a pretty happenin’ recipe module for postnuke as well.
Seems that now that the symbol and not the people who use them can be
punished. What get’s me is that if some large corporation (or government,
society) deems it inappropriate, a simple symbol can be removed so as not to
cause offense.
Even though it has been used for thousands of years for another
purpose, a one time bad use makes it inappropriate and so must be removed. It’s
not that the symbol exists as a typeable character, it’s what people do with it.
Does anyone besides myself see this as a frightening
dilemma. We are allowing ourselves to ERASE history for the sake of
political correctness!!!!! Specifically something used by it’s ORIGINATING
culture as a symbol of spiritual peace and enlightenment.
I worry about what people will have access to in the future. So if a
child decides to write a paper on the evils of Hitler, he can’t show the symbol used?
1984′s O’Brien and Mr. Charrington would be proud. (more…)
