Thanks for Serving…

As a veteran, I’d like to take the time to thank those before and after me for their willingness to serve. Memorial Day is to honor all of us who sacrificed so that we live in a free nation and honor those who gave their lives for that blessing.

Today, when I travel around and meet people or see my children/grandchildren I can easily see what my little sacrifice was for….and that it was well worth it.

Karl LeRay – Fashon Model?!?!?

No need to get your eyes checked…..

It’s true! I was selected to be in the fall Harley Davidson motorclothes catalog! Harley started doing catalog shots of owners a couple of years ago. It’s a growing trend in advertising to show real people with a product.

WAL*MART started the trend a decade ago with their “real” customer/employee adds.

It brings a couple of things to the add:

1 – The people are genuine in their like of a product.

2 – We’re a whole lot cheaper than professional models!

Besides…we all WANT to do something like this.

I’ve put up some pictures from the shoot in the gallery and as soon as the catalog is out (July) I’ll have the page up ther as well.

Keep supporting the Troops

Just a reminder to all those who have been paying attention to the War in Iraq.

The war is NOT over.

The fighting may have stoped, but we still have many thousands of troops in the Gulf region. These soldiers are giving just as much for their country as any of the units that were splashed over the news in recent months. I have noticed a depressing decline in the number of American flags on display and a lot of people seem to think that everything is over. The news services are largely to blame since there aren’t flashy headlines being produced now. However I feel that too many people suffer from fair weather patriotism. They support the nation and are troops when it is popular to do so. This is an insult to those of us who have served our nation or are serving it now. Keep the flags flying and keep supporting our troops!
