Lena’s home for the holidays (sorta) – WOOT!
Lena’s back for the holidays…sort of. With her school/work schedule she couldn’t actually make it down for Christmas or New Years. She’ll be here from the 3rd through the 10th of January.
Dunno if she has anything planned out, but it’s just going to be nice to have her home for a bit.
Mebbie it’s just a dad being sentimental, but all I can think of is what a wise man once told me when she was born, “they grow up too fast for you.”
I now know how other parents feel when their children depart the nest….
She already want’s to get the car and visit people

Wired Life: Computer language inspires ‘google me,’ ‘mouse potato’
Seems that thanks to the use of computers and the internet, we are developing new terms, albeit slang to describe our “net savvy” selves. This article from the Sacramento Bee kind of tells all.
The sad part is I use many of these terms myself! Guess when you’re a geek….

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (LOTR:Two Towers)!!
It just plain FRIGGIN sucks! How did the New Line Films think I’d enjoy it?!?!?
Having to wait a damn year to see the conclusion of the COOLEST epic!!! The BASTARDS!!!
LOTR: Two Towers is the second of the incredible Peter Jackson movie trilogy. I’d say it was incredible, but that wouldn’t do the movie justice. The plot is good (like it wouldn’t be, huh?) since this is where all the action takes place in the story. The battle for Helm’s Deep, the attack on Orthanc Tower in Isengard….I won’t spoil it for you, it was all simply incredible.
The special effects, costumes, etc. are also spectacular as well. In the books my favorite creatures were the Ent’s which are brought out beautifully. Honestly though…the CGI character of “Gollum” stole the move from the real
actors.

Had the privilege of going to a genuine biker wedding for our friends Steve and Juanita Meyers.
A simple wedding ceremony that was lots of fun.
